Which service should I book?
Choose what best matches your goal. If the concern seems related to an injury, is persistent or feels more complex, start with Myotherapy.
Assessment + plan
Myotherapy
“I want an assessment and a plan, not only relief through manual treatment.”
A stronger starting point when a concern is recurring, affects work or training, or when exercise or rehabilitation guidance may be useful.
- Persistent or recurring concerns
- Movement affecting daily life
- Rehabilitation guidance where relevant
Tailored massage care
Remedial Massage
“I mainly want tailored massage care.”
A good fit when your priority is massage care for tightness, soreness, tension associated with stress, training recovery or maintenance.
- Tightness and general soreness
- Training recovery
- Ongoing maintenance massage
Two services, two different starting points
Myotherapy and Remedial Massage at Myonexis
Both services respond to what you share. The difference is the support you want from the appointment.

Myotherapy
Make sense of the concern—and leave with clearer next steps.
Myotherapy is care guided by assessment for pain and movement concerns. Your appointment starts with what you are experiencing, how it affects you and what you want help with. Relevant assessment helps guide the options discussed.
A session may combine appropriate manual treatment with practical exercise or rehabilitation guidance when relevant.
Persistent or recurring concerns
Concerns related to injury
Movement affecting work or training
Practical rehab guidance

Remedial Massage
Focused hands-on care for tightness, soreness and recovery.
Remedial Massage provides manual care for muscle tightness, soreness, tension associated with stress, recovery and maintenance. It may suit people who primarily want a tailored massage session rather than the movement and rehabilitation focus of Myotherapy.
The session is shaped around the areas you want addressed and the information you share with your therapist, with simple aftercare where appropriate.
Neck and shoulder tension
Back tightness and soreness
Training recovery
Regular maintenance
Vera Liu is accepting new Remedial Massage clients. Ramon Lim also provides Remedial Massage.
How we approach care
We start by listening.
Your service and the care discussed with you depend on your presentation, priorities and what is relevant within the appointment.
01
Listen and assess what is relevant
Myotherapy allows time to understand the concern before discussing treatment options and next steps.
02
Choose the right service emphasis
Assessment and a plan through Myotherapy, or manual care through Remedial Massage.
03
Match care to the presentation
Not every person needs the same techniques, emphasis or next steps.
04
Explain practical next steps
The aim is a useful, understandable appointment without unnecessary jargon.

Frequently asked questions
Practical details about choosing a service, preparing for your appointment, health funds and booking terms.
Which service should I choose?
Choose Myotherapy if you want assessment and a plan, particularly when a concern feels injury-related, persistent, recurring or is affecting movement. Choose Remedial Massage if your priority is tailored hands-on care for tightness, soreness, stress-related tension, recovery or maintenance. If you are still unsure and the concern feels injury-related or persistent, start with Myotherapy.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed to book. If you already have a referral or relevant information from a GP or specialist, bring it with you because it may help your practitioner understand the context of your concern.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows practical access to the area you want addressed. Shorts can be useful for lower-back, hip or leg appointments. Towels are provided, and your comfort and privacy should be maintained throughout the session.
Do you have HICAPS?
Yes. HICAPS is available for eligible private health claims. Eligibility and rebate amounts depend on your fund and level of cover, so check with your health fund if you are unsure and bring your health fund card to the appointment.
How long are appointments?
An initial Myotherapy appointment is 60 minutes. Follow-up Myotherapy appointments are available in 45- or 60-minute options. Remedial Massage is publicly offered in 45-, 60- and 90-minute options. Current appointment types and available times are shown in online booking.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee of 50% of the session price. A no-show may be charged at 100% of the session price. If you arrive late, the session may need to be shortened and the full fee may still apply. With advance notice, an appointment may be transferred to a friend or family member. Check the current booking terms when you book.
Is parking available?
